What should I bring on a walk?

Wear comfortable walking boots or walking shoes with good grip, suitable for the terrain. Bring waterproof clothing and warm layers, and check the forecast before setting out. A hat, gloves or sun protection may be useful depending on the weather. Carry a packed lunch, snacks and enough drinking water for the whole walk, with extra water in warm weather. We usually stop for lunch, and there are few places to buy food or drink en route, so please bring what you need in a small rucksack. Check the walk description for any specific requirements.
